Underwater Services, Inc. is dedicated to safely providing our customers with a quality service to accommodate their Diver operation schedule. Our reputation of superior work, integrity and cooperation is well known among our worldwide customers and the classification agencies. When it comes to servicing the marine industry, we understand the importance of keeping the vessels moving.

Diver Underwater Services, Inc. was incorporated in the state of Texas, USA in 1981 and since then has been involved with the marine industry, construction, marine salvage and oilfield related businesses. We proudly celebrated our 25th anniversary of operation in 2006.  

Our main office is located near Corpus Christi, TX in the town of Aransas Pass. In 2005, our branch office opened in the Houston market area. We specialize in providing commercial diving services to the marine and shallow oilfield industry, and have been involved in a wide spectrum of diving operations since 1981. Underwater Services, Inc. is approved as an in-water survey company by the following classification agencies:

  • We are pleased to announce that our company is an active member ISNetworld of ISNetworld. Through their website, we are able to centralize all compliance information, contact information and company profile data. ISNetworld’s Review and Verification Services verifies and evaluates our health, safety and training information to ensure record keeping and minimum OSHA/regulatory requirements are met. We are also a member of the Contractor’s Safety Council of the Coastal Bend.

    Underwater Services, Inc. has performed various services for the marine industry over the years and has satisfied customers worldwide. Our personnel are familiar with hull designs and terminology of many different types of vessels. We have been subcontracted to service US Naval vessels. We have serviced tugboats, workboats, barges, jackup support vessels, merchant ships and permanent oilfield platforms in the Gulf of Mexico. Additionally, we have serviced bulkheads, docks and oilfield pipelines.

    We currently offer the services of underwater burning, cutting and welding, in-water video surveys, still photography, dock and hull inspections, propeller polishing, salvage, cofferdam installations, marine spill response, non-destructive testing, metal thickness readings, search, recovery, repair, and launch service.


    Underwater Services, Inc. was hired to extract a submerged Ford F150 from the shipping channel at Conn Brown Harbor, Aransas Pass, Texas in September 2006. The divers attached lift bags around the vehicle and floated it to the surface. The truck was towed with the diver’s launch to a nearby shipyard where it was removed from the water using a travel lift.

    Underwater Services, Inc. was hired by Gulf Marine Fabricators/Chevron from December 2007 thru February 2008 to service the Tahiti Spar. The dive team cleaned the fairleads, ROV contact points and strake pin sleeves using a Cavidyne water blaster. The divers also reattached the mooring and messenger cables to the hull.

    Underwater Services, Inc. was hired by Kiewit Offshore Services in January and February 2010 to service the M/V Helix Producer I. The dive team verified the clearance from the bottom of the moon pool to the natural bottom to assure the fitting of the QC/DC under the frame work.
